1. The winch should be installed in a flat and solid place with good visibility. The connection between the fuselage and the ground anchor must be firm. The winch barrel and the center line of the guide pulley should correspond vertically. The distance between the winch and the derrick pulley should generally be no less than 15m.
2. Check the wire ropes, clutches, brakes, safety wheels, body moving pulleys, etc. before winch operation to confirm safe and reliable operation. Check whether there is friction between winch wire rope and the derrick.
3. The wire ropes of winch must be neatly arranged on the drum, and the drum wire rope must be kept at least three times during winch operation. No one is allowed to cross the winch wire rope during operation.
4. When using winch lift heavy objects and need to stay in the air, in addition to using the brakes, gear safety should be used to secure the card.
5. Operators must hold a certificate to work, and it is strictly forbidden to operate winch without a certificate, and it is strictly forbidden to leave the winch during working hours.
6. Obey the signal of the commander during work. If the signal is unknown or may cause an accident, the winch operation should be suspended, and winch operation can be continued after the situation is clarified.
7. If there is a sudden power failure during winch operation, the knife should be opened immediately and the transported objects should be put down.
8. After the operation is completed, the material tray should be grounded and the electric box of winch should be locked.

1. When operating a large ton low speed winch, attention should be paid to prevent the wire rope from dragging on the ground. In the operation of large ton electric winch, no one is allowed to cross the wire rope. The 5-30 ton electric winch should be placed on the zero position before energizing.
2. The steel wire ropes on the drum of the low speed winch should be arranged in order, and there should be no chaotic layer phenomenon. During the operation of the low speed electric winch, if there is a sudden power failure, the power supply should be blocked immediately and the hanging objects should be safely put down.
3.The extra traction of the low speed winch refers to the maximum static pulling force allowed by the outermost wire rope, At this moment, the rope of the wire rope is the longest, and this value cannot be exceeded during operation, which means no overloaded.
4.After lifting heavy objects, the low speed electric winch should start slowly, and start and lower at full speed. At the same time, it is necessary to prevent emergency braking, which may damage the transmission components and wire rope.
Fixing and installation of electric winch
1. Winch fix
The electric winch must be fixed with ground anchors to prevent slippage or overturning during work. According to the magnitude of the force, the winches have four fixing methods: bolt anchoring, horizontal anchoring, standing pile fix anchoring and weight anchoring.
2. Pay attention to the following points in the installation of electric winches:
(1) There must be unblocked drainage around the installation location of electric winch and a work shed should be set up;
(2) The installation of winch should enable the operator to see clearly the commander and the lifting or dragging object. The horizontal distance from the hoist to the installation position of the component should be greater than the installation height of the component, that is, when the component is hoisted to the installation position, the elevation angle of the operator’s line of sight should be less than 45°;
(3) A guide block should be set directly in front of the hoist when we fixing the winch. The distance from the guide block to the axis of the drum, the grooved drum should not be less than 15 times the drum width, that is, the inclination angle α should not be greater than 2° (Figure 14-19), The gloveless reel should be greater than 20 times the width of the reel to avoid excessive wear of the wire rope and the groove edge of the guide pulley;
(4) The electric winch can be used alone or as a component in machinery such as lifting, road construction and mine hoisting.
